چکیده
The use of horizontal to vertical spectral ratios (HVSR) earthquake ground motions has become a standard technique characterize sites, especially those lacking subsurface measurements. Several studies have developed relationships between HVSR results and time-averaged shear-wave velocity in the upper 30 m (VS30). Other utilized calculated from motion Fourier amplitude spectra estimate VS30. Anchorage, Alaska (USA), network strong-motion recording stations, many which no site-specific characterization. This study compares measured VS30 18 stations four regional models by others. A relationship 1 Hz band-averaged (0.5–2.5 Hz) amplification is presented. estimates for are made, model VS30, both terms fpeak (the frequency peak amplitude) Apeak peak). In addition model, additional data other sites including 19 downhole measurements 22 microtremor others, used with station develop contour map Anchorage. contouring represents spatial distribution site classes local building code, based on may be incorporated into planning documents future developments city.

Liquefaction Hazard assessment using Horizontal-to-Vertical Spectral Ratio of Microtremor
In this paper, the spectral ratio of mmicrotremor, HSVR, is presented for estimating the liquefaction potential of layered soil in the coastal area of the Persian Gulf, which consists of a hard sandstone layer situated between two saturated sandy layers. The surface layer is thin, with a thickness between 2 and 5 meters. The purpose of this paper is to identify the relation between the liquefac...

New spectral methods for ratio cut partitioning and clustering
Partitioning of circuit netlists is important in many phases of VLSI design, ranging from layout to testing and hardware simulation. The ratio cut objective function [29] has received much attention since it naturally captures both mincut and equipartition, the two traditional goals of partitioning. In this paper, we show that the second smallest eigenvalue of a matrix derived from the netlist ...
